Night Before April Fools Storm

Night Before April Fools Storm

March 31, 2017

Almost a foot of snow is destined to cover the still snowy mountains and hills today and into tomorrow evening. The mali-family enjoys the snow, but I am ready for spring and green leaves. Pemi and Sirius love running together. I think they will make a nice skijor team. Below, is a another action shot…

Buns in the oven- New Hampshire Malinois du Chocorua

For a couple years I’ve been planning another litter out of my incredible malinois girl, Abby, and today was the start of that journey. Rou Ivarus, a direct import malinois from Serbia was my choice stud. His lines mix beautifully with Abby’s, he has a balanced temperament suitable for work and family, he is social…

I can’t say the snow is super welcome right now, as I was just getting used to packed trails…

Team Gulo Gulo hit the mountains in advance of the nor’easter scheduled to dump anywhere from a foot to two feet of snow over the next two days. Beautiful packed trail to the summit, with the exception of a few very deep post-holes left during the last meltdown. They are now frozen solid and as…

Cold and wind don’t hold back Team Gulo Gulo! We hit the trails for a mountain loop, and the quiet, frosty chill was invigorating. I think the fluffy malis like it best when it is cold.

At the overlook at H.H. mountain loop today, Sirius started smelling some very enticing scents wafting up from the valley below. I captured my noble beastie sniffing the mountain air. Team Gulo Gulo had a wonderful run, enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains in winter.
