Skijoring Race: Kiersten Lippmann
Sassy (pulling Kiersten Lippmann) performed admirably in her first skijor race at Gunstock Nordic. She ran fast and pulled hard. I hope we will have a chance to enter more races next winter! It was a whole lot of fun and nice to get to socialize with all the other skijoring enthusiasts and teams.
Windy Summit
The pack ran to the windy summit today, amid fresh snow on the high peaks. Green is spreading up the mountainsides and the birds are singing. Two more weeks and the puppies will be here.—Kiersten Lippmann
Beautiful Springtime
We have about a three month break from the tourists. The leaves are popping, flowers are blooming, and green is spreading over the mountains. We enjoy scenic runs along rushing rivers and to quiet mountain lakes. At this lake, there was a pair of beavers, that kept swimming towards us on shore and slapping their tails…
Spring in the Mountains
The leaves are the size of a squirrel’s ear. The warblers are back. The thrushes are singing in the morning and evening. The hawks are migrating overhead. It’s a gorgeous spring, took the pack out for a mountain run and saw a few rainbows, sun, clouds, and rain, all in one two hour period. Here…
