“Official Star de la Rouquine” was imported from the Netherlands, out of one of the most well respected working tervuren kennels in the world. She is a registered tervuren out of working malinois, with a PH-1 father- who works as an active police dog, and is grand-daughter to Impress de la Rouquine (PH-1). Impress is one of my favorite all-time working tervurens, and goes from titling in KNPV to snuggling with kids watching from the sidelines instantly. His clear head and confident nature are what I strive for in my breedings. Impress is looking great at 12, and showing longevity and very little aging so far.

Star is a gifted, high drive female with a clear head, social or neutral to people and dogs, balanced in her work, graceful natural jumper, with good grips and natural retrieve. She is a strong dog in protection, with very balanced drives. From puppyhood she actively pushes back toward and seeks to engage and work with her handler and is a fast learner. She is super snappy in her work and always ready to go, yet settles easily in the house.

Plan to title for IGP 1 to IGP2/3 in 2024 trial season.

She has competed in skijor and canicross (mass start races with no issues) with success in addition to training for her IGP titles. She is the perfect trail dog and neutral/friendly. She is a deep red pigmented beautiful girl “of the red” (de la Rouquine) and everything I’d hoped for in a working tervuren. Star’s puppies are excellent examples of strong working tervuren, and inherited both her and the sire’s best traits.
