Sassy has been working very hard in her guard in training and showed some very nice behaviors today. After winning the sleeve, she carried it for over 10 minutes— she loves to show off her prize!
Moriah is progressing really nicely- her guarding is coming along and she will be ready for her IGP1 this spring. She is such a happy, eager worker with a strong grip.
Training is a lot of work, for the tiny little pieces that put together an IGP routine. And don’t forget tracking– a completely different skillset from Obedience or Protection. We’ve been enjoying the journey, and enjoy learning how to work with two very different dogs- despite them being mother and daughter! As usual, it is the handler who needs to the most training, not the dog.
