Rigel is available to an experienced or working home. He will excel at anything nosework related, including detection dog work (bomb, drug, etc) as well as skijor, dock diving, frisbee, agility, obedience. He has very nice drives for tug and retrieve, so also may excel at IPO or protection sports, but hasn’t been “officially” tested. He is very sweet, likes to cuddle, is housetrained, knows basic puppy foundations, and loves to learn. He has played with the other puppy in my home since he was about 3 weeks old, so has been very doggy-socialized despite being a singleton pup. I would expect him to be either neutral/aloof or dog-human social, depending on how he matures. Given his maligator tendencies, he needs to go to someone who understands how to work with this and redirect/correct properly.
He’s staying here until the perfect fit is found, I’m happy to answer any questions and will continue to post video as I begin to work him more seriously toward scent work.
