We have about a three month break from the tourists. The leaves are popping, flowers are blooming, and green is spreading over the mountains. We enjoy scenic runs along rushing rivers and to quiet mountain lakes. At this lake, there was a pair of beavers, that kept swimming towards us on shore and slapping their tails against the water. I’ve known people whose dogs were attacked by beavers while swimming- almost gutted- so I kept my dogs out of the water. It was a quiet, remote spot and we felt like we were the only ones who had been there in quite some time. What a wonderful area I live in, where the dogs get to explore nature, and just be with me, enjoying time as a pack. Kiersten Lippmann
